Cordless drills provide many benefits over normal drills. There is no need for that big pile of mangled wires in the back of your truck. They are flexible, portable, and are the new industry standard. They used to be very expensive, but today everything is wireless so it is a must if you are a carpenter or handyman.
Now you want to discharge the battery. If you disable the hibernation setting or anything else that might make the computer go into power saving mode, it would be better. Let the computer run until it shuts down due to loss of battery power, then turn it back on.
Therefore, the key to long iPod battery life is to only charge it when you have to. And remember dead iPod batteries are those that lithium battery stocks won't hold any charge at all. An iPod battery with some charge left can hold some charge can still be useful, but you will still want to consider purchasing an iPod replacement kit.
2) Battery freshness: often overlooked. Always make sure you have the freshest battery possible. A battery can lose it's ability to hold a charge as time goes on. You want batteries that move off of shelves quickly to be sure they aren't old.

OLithium-ion Batteries: these are the newest type of cell phone battery and, while having certain advantages over the older NIMH and NICD batteries, care must still be taken to ensure they perform at their best. For example, a new Lithium mines Ontario-ion battery should be "conditioned". What this basically means is that for the battery's first three charge cycles, fully charge the battery overnight and allow it to fully discharge before charging it again. This will increase the life and effectiveness of the cell phone battery.
Battery memory affect is the length of time a battery will work before it needs recharged. The battery 'learns' such period of time through how you use it. If you repeatedly use your laptop for one hour and then charge it, its battery will learn to stay strong for only one hour. Using a Lithium battery and using it until it is almost dead and then recharging it will greatly increase the period of time that the battery will stay strong. Step 4 - Connect in the newly bought battery to the board of the iPod (where you unconnected the old battery) and set it on the glue that remained on the hard drive. Make sure that the battery and the wires are set properly so you can actually close the iPod. Snap the cover back together, you'll hear it when it's finished!
